Live! From New York! It’s a terrifying story of commuting gone wrong!
When the fire department accidentally cut power to the subway, a train full of people was stuck in the dark for more than two hours. According to Scott, a passenger on the train, things rapidly degenerated:
Inside, the temperature was close to 90 degrees. Most people managed to get their coats off, and in some cases, even shirts came off. I was dripping with sweat, but tried to keep breathing and conserve my energy and keep calm.
But that’s not the worst. Oh no.
About two and a half hours, someone threw up in our car. The car also smelt of urine. I’m certain more than one person had pissed themselves. The car smelt rank, and the situation was getting out of control.
So, next time you’re crammed like a sardine into the Central line, just remember you’re one blown fuse away from pickling in your own juices.
